Coalition Chat

Coalition Chat

When faced with powerful villains such as the Hamidon, Super Groups need all the help they can muster.  A consolidation of groups, known as coalitions, can combine strategies, tactics and skills to defeat even the greatest of foes.  To aid in the coordination of these coalitions, we have implemented the Coalition Chat—a new in-game chat system that allows up to 10 Super Groups to combine forces in the ongoing war against injustice.

Coalition Tech: Super Groups Unite!

To form a coalition, Super Group leaders invite other Super Group leaders on their server to join forces. Communication between Super Groups is handled via Coalition Chat.

All Super Group leaders have access to the Coalition Chat menu from the Super Group window. From this menu leaders can mute their own non-leaders from talking in coalition chat.  They can also prevent their own Super Group members from hearing an ally's non-leaders and prevent their own Super Group members' chat from going to an ally's members (for each ally there is a "Hear Leaders Only" option and a "Don't Chat To" option).

Coalition Chat will be a separate chat channel just like the friends channel or the team chat channel that will allow you to talk to all allied SGs as long as your leader has allowed this communication in the Coalition Chat menu.

Coalitions can be dissolved at any time, so you can join up with another SG for just a raid or your Super Group can establish long term coalitions.

Here are some commands for Coalition Chat so you can be ready with your communications as soon as this feature becomes officially available. Enjoy!

Coalition Chat

/coalition_invite <player_name>
/ci <player_name>

  • Invites a player's Supergroup to form a coalition.  You must be the leader of your Supergroup to do this.
  • Also accessible by right clicking on the player.
  • Sends the invite to the leader of <player_name>'s Supergroup that has been online the longest.
  • Remember, your Supergroup can be in a coalition with a maximum of 10 other Supergroups.

/c <text>

  • Chats in the coalition channel.

If Supergroup A and Supergroup B have a coalition, and Supergroup A and Supergroup C have a coalition, then anything members of A say will be heard by members of A, B, and C.  Anything members of C say will be heard only by members of A and C.  Anything members of B say will be heard only by members of A and B.
